In 1971, master perfumer Henri Robert opened a private atelier in Grasse. Trained in the tradition of Ernest Beaux, he created limited fragrances for a select European clientele. Each formula was handwritten. Each bottle was numbered. After his passing in 1985, the atelier closed. In 1986, his grandson Pierre Robert sealed and preserved the complete formulary of 134 Compositions. It remained protected for nearly four decades. In 2024, archival research in Grasse reconnected the collection with a new generation. On 11 December 2024, discussions began in Dubai to restore the Robert legacy. On 19 May 2025, custodianship of the original formulary was officially transferred to Vera Monde in Kuala Lumpur. The agreement was later recorded in Grasse. Today, Vera Monde builds upon Henri Robert’s original compositions, interpreting them with materials he once sought from the East.
